ELV Engineer

Our client, a pioneering developer and operator of next-generation digital infrastructure, is seeking an experienced ELV Engineer to lead the design and implementation of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across large-scale data centre projects. This is a critical role within a rapidly expanding organisation, offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects across key international markets.

 

The Role

The ELV Engineer will be responsible for the design, review, and delivery of ELV systems including ICT infrastructure, structured cabling, network systems, security systems (CCTV, ACS, FIDS, VMS, ISMS), and video conferencing systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure technical compliance, seamless execution, and adherence to global standards. This role also requires strong client-facing skills to liaise with international customers and support projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of ELV systems for large-scale data centres.
  • Manage consultants, review design documents, and oversee tendering and procurement.
  • Provide technical support to international clients, ensuring compliance with cabling and infrastructure requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams and contractors to resolve on-site technical issues.
  • Stay updated on ELV technologies and assess applicability for ongoing projects.
  • Support research and development of intelligent automation solutions to optimise monitoring and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, testing protocols, and acceptance documentation.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in ELV system design and implementation within data centres.
  • Proven ability to manage ELV projects across the full lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of ELV standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and client engagement skills.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required to collaborate with regional and international stakeholders.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering ELV systems in large-scale data centre or high-precision industrial projects.
  • Hands-on commissioning experience with at least one ELV product.
  • Exposure to international projects and familiarity with large-scale DC infrastructure (electrical and cooling).
  • Knowledge of BMS, BA, and fire alarm systems.
