Position Summary

Privately held general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to lead safety, health, and environmental programs on large-scale construction projects in Oklahoma.

This role is responsible for enforcing safety standards, leading incident prevention efforts, mentoring safety personnel, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company safety requirements. The Senior Safety Manager will oversee multiple projects and drive an injury-free work environment across the region.

 

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety, health, and environmental policies on active construction sites
• Lead incident investigations and reporting
• Conduct and support project safety training for staff and craft
• Mentor and develop assigned Safety Managers
• Document incidents, violations, and unsafe conditions
• Advise leadership on compliance concerns and preventative actions
• Maintain safety files and records across multiple projects
• Coordinate with regional safety personnel on requirements, updates, and reporting
• Manage OSHA reporting and accident documentation
• Oversee workers’ compensation cases and lost-time incidents
• Coordinate clinics and medical providers as needed
• Conduct in-house safety training programs
• Lead change initiatives to improve safety performance
• Promote and maintain an injury-free environment

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent safety experience
• 15+ years of construction industry experience
• Proven success in a senior-level safety leadership role
• CHST, ASP, CSP, or equivalent certification required
• Advanced knowledge of OSHA standards and Focus Four hazards
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• First Aid & CPR Instructor certification
