Our client, a leading provider of data centre and critical environment services, is seeking an experienced Technology Manager to join their UK operations team. Based in London, with travel across the UK, this role is central to delivering technology projects, supporting operational systems, and ensuring compliance within mission-critical environments.
The Role
The Technology Manager will work closely with the UK Technology Director, supporting the design, delivery, and management of technology solutions across data centre operations. The successful candidate will provide both strategic and hands-on support for customer technology platforms, lead on project implementations, and act as the first point of escalation for technology-related issues. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technology sales, surveys, estimations, quotations, and project delivery.
- Assist with technology solution design, implementation, and operational support.
- Provide guidance and support for engineering and management teams across the UK business.
- Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Act as the first point of escalation for technology support issues with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver technology support and management for customer platforms and networks.
- Contribute to governance and compliance across relevant standards (ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO50001, ISO20000).
- Support contract transitions and provide documentation pre- and post-project delivery.
- Maintain detailed project and financial documentation using internal platforms.
- Provide component-level technology support where required.
- Manage risk, prioritisation, and multiple concurrent work streams.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in data centre environments (minimum 2 years).
- Experience managing and delivering technology projects (CCTV, Access Control, IDS, PIDS, intercom, and related systems).
- Strong understanding of technology networks, cabling, and hardware.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO50001, ISO20000.
- Confident, proactive, and able to triage and resolve technology incidents effectively.
